Known Issues
Lab environment only
The Microsoft Office 2013 PreviewApp-V package is for testing purposes only in a labenvironment. Running this package in a production environment is not recommended.
Using the Microsoft Office 2013 Preview App-V package
If you are currently
testing the Office 2013 Preview App-V Beta 2 package, you will need to first
remove your current package before using the new one.
Coexistence of multiple Office instances
If you need to run
another version of Microsoft Office on the same computer, please run the other
version in isolated mode.
Outlook search
If Outlook search does not work for you, please rebuild
the search index in Outlook via File -> Options-> Search -> “Indexing
Options” -> Advanced-> Rebuild. This will rebuild your search index and
after the rebuilding is done, Outlook search should work. The Virtual machine
that is running the Office 15 for App-V package should not be running any other
instances of Microsoft Office. At this time, the Outlook search is not
available for re-indexing in Control panel and not available via Start Menu.
Deploying Office 2013 Preview App-V package to a user
While the Microsoft Office 2013 Preview App-V package
provides complete integration experience when deployed globally, some features
do not work when the package is deployed to a user.
Add-Ins for the Office package
The Microsoft Office 2013 Preview App-V package is a
golden package. The package is not designed to be expanded. Any Add-Ins which
need to be run with the Microsoft Office applications should be sequenced in
their own packages and run with the Microsoft Office package using App-V 5.0
beta connection groups.
Print to OneNote on 32 bit machine
Print to OneNote does not work on 32 bit machines.
Help
The help in the Microsoft Office applications which is
initiated for example when user presses F1 does not work.
